School lunches
It can be hard to be creative about school lunches. I've learned a few tricks to quick healthy lunch boxes.
Healthy Snacks
- Whole grain pretzels
- Raw nuts and seeds
- Rice crackers
- Cut up fruit
- Raw veggies and dip
- Unsweetened apple sauce
- Whole grain crackers
- Hummous and pita bread
- Fruit salad
- Hard boiled eggs
- Cheese and crackers
- Rice cakes with raw almond butter and drizzled with honey
- Multigrain wrap with almond butter, banana and honey
Healthy School Lunch Ideas
Be creative.
When making wraps include vegetables you know your child likes. Offer a variety of vegetables and fruit. Having a red apple in your lunch everyday can turn you off of apples for a while. Try raspberries, plums, kiwis, etc. Here are some other ideas:
