School lunches

It can be hard to be creative about school lunches. I've learned a few tricks to quick healthy lunch boxes.

Healthy Snacks

  • Whole grain pretzels
  • Raw nuts and seeds
  • Rice crackers
  • Cut up fruit
  • Raw veggies and dip
  • Unsweetened apple sauce
  • Whole grain crackers
  • Hummous and pita bread
  • Fruit salad
  • Hard boiled eggs
  • Cheese and crackers
  • Rice cakes with raw almond butter and drizzled with honey
  • Multigrain wrap with almond butter, banana and honey

Healthy School Lunch Ideas

Be creative.

When making wraps include vegetables you know your child likes. Offer a variety of vegetables and fruit. Having a red apple in your lunch everyday can turn you off of apples for a while. Try raspberries, plums, kiwis, etc. Here are some other ideas:
